Brooke Bender
Brooke received her Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy with Specialization in Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. She is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Oregon and has been practicing as a therapist for over 13 years.
Brooke worked for several years in community mental health settings serving children of all ages and their families. She has supervised programs including birth-5, prevention and early intervention, school-based mental health, and wraparound intensive field-based services. Brooke is an EMDRIA certified EMDR Therapist, and currently her practice focuses on helping adults heal from childhood trauma through EMDR Therapy. She has published work in peer reviewed journals on psychotropic medication and art therapy and disaster mental health and resiliency.
Brooke has extensive experience providing diagnostic assessments and inventories, family services, and individual evaluations. She has both professional and personal experience supporting people through fertility journeys. She is keenly educated and experienced in the intimate and emotional nature of mental health work in the field of fertility. She was drawn to working for Thallo Health as she was interested in the overall mission of helping people in this unique field and the need for ethical and comprehensive evaluations. She is passionate about supporting and empowering people in building their families. She is grateful for the gift of modern medicine and all it has to offer. She has been a dedicated member of the team since September 2023.
She has continued her professional growth in the field of infertility through research and involvement as a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM Mental Health Professional Group, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy.
